Information Text on the Processing and Protection of Personal Data

 

As Turgut Office Tekstil İthalat İhracat Limited Şirketi (briefly "Turgut Office"), we exercise maximum sensitivity to ensure the privacy and security of the personal data of all our customers and visitors, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, and other relevant legislation. Your personal data is processed by us, in our capacity as "Data Controller" under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 and related legislation, within the framework outlined below and for the fulfillment of our legal obligations.

 

1. Who is Responsible for the Security and Processing of Your Personal Data?

 

As Turgut Office, we are responsible for the security of all personal data you provide to us in our capacity as "data controller" pursuant to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.

 

2. For What Purposes is Your Personal Data Processed?

 

Your personal data is processed primarily for the purpose of fulfilling the obligations imposed upon us by legislation, particularly the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, the Law on the Protection of the Consumer No. 6502, and the Tax Procedure Law No. 213.

 

In addition to fulfilling our legal obligations, your personal data is processed for the purposes of ensuring "customer satisfaction," which is our most important principle, such as providing the service you request at the highest level, having your profile record ready for your next service request, and determining the services most suitable for you in a fast and accurate manner.

 

Your personal data may also be processed for purposes such as improving the services offered to you, announcing our products and campaigns, correctly planning, executing, and managing administrative and communication activities and strategies, improving the services offered on the website and resolving errors on the site, contacting you when you submit requests and complaints, managing your requests and complaints, increasing service quality, enabling third parties to perform technical, logistical, and other similar functions on our behalf as service providers, and, when necessary, ensuring that your payments are carried out quickly and securely.

 

3. To Whom and for What Purposes Can Your Personal Data be Transferred?

 

Your personal data may be shared with our business and solution partners, banks, and third parties that perform technical, logistical, and other similar operations on our behalf, in order to ensure that the services offered to you are complete and flawless, and only to the extent that it is appropriate to the nature of the service. These third parties consist of persons who must have access to the relevant information in order for the relevant services to be provided fully and flawlessly.

Apart from these, your personal data may also be transferred—limited only to the relevant person or institution—in cases where it is necessary to share data with other third parties to provide the service fully and flawlessly, where it is mandatory for Turgut Office to fulfill its legal obligations, where it is expressly provided for by law, or where there is a judicial/administrative order issued in accordance with the law.

 

A portion of personal data may be shared with advertisers in an anonymized and aggregated manner, only together with information belonging to other users, to ensure that advertisements can be tailored to the target audience. Anonymized data is information that cannot be matched with you, our visitors, and does not contain your identity information or make your identity identifiable. Your privacy is guaranteed with anonymized data.

4. By What Methods and Based on What Legal Grounds is Your Personal Data Collected?

 

Your personal data is collected through oral, written, or electronic channels for the purposes stated above in order to provide our services and to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations completely and accurately, as required by the obligations imposed upon us by legislation, particularly the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102, the Tax Procedure Law No. 213, the Law on the Protection of the Consumer No. 6502, and the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.

 

5. What Personal Data of Yours is Processed?

 

This includes personal data you share directly with us through all kinds of oral, written, electronic environments, and technical or other methods; directly via our stores, our websites and/or mobile applications, our call center; and personal data you share with our business and solution partners.

 

6. For How Long is Your Personal Data Retained?

 

Unless a longer period is prescribed by law, your personal data is retained for a maximum period of 10 (ten) years in accordance with Article 182 of the Turkish Commercial Code and Article 146 of the Turkish Code of Obligations.

 

7. What Are Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data?

 

In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, everyone has the right to apply to the data controller to request the following regarding themselves:

a. Learning whether personal data is being processed,

b. Requesting information if personal data has been processed,

c. Learning the purpose of processing the personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,

d. Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,

e. Requesting correction of personal data in case it is processed incompletely or incorrectly,

f. Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7,

g. Requesting that the transactions made in accordance with clauses (d) and (e) be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,

h. Objecting to the emergence of a result against the person himself/herself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,

i. Requesting the compensation of damage in case of loss due to illegal processing of personal data.

 

You may also submit your application form to info@turgutoffice.com by using the e-mail address that you have previously notified to us and that is registered in Turgut Office's system.

 

Your request must clearly state the right/demand you wish to exercise along with your identity information, and all information and documents subject to your request must be attached, and necessary explanations must be provided.

 

Requests submitted to us that meet the necessary qualifications will be concluded within 30 (thirty) days depending on the nature of the request, and the result will be notified to you in writing or electronically, in accordance with the feedback method you have chosen in your request.
